Some say that when driving on an oval, he doesn't turn left, the Earth turns right. They say if you tune your radio to 88.4, you can actually hear his thoughts. Some say that his tears are adhesive... All we know is he might be unemployed.
The Stig, who was revealed as Ben Collins, has reportedly been fired by the BBC.
This comes after tensions mounted over Collin’s autobiography which, if
published, would reveal his identity as The Stig. The mystery surrounding his identity has been a big part of the BBC motor show and the broadcaster
claimed that revealing his character would be a breach of contract.
According to the Daily Mirror, Top Gear has already replaced Collins. The paper showed photographs of the apparent new Stig at a Nürburgring track event in his signature white coveralls. The Mirror also shows photos of Collins at the same time, over a thousand kilometres away in West Country, UK.
The BBC insists that keeping The Stig’s identity a mystery is crucial to his daredevil role as test driver for Top Gear, which is watched by 350million viewers around the world.
Collins’ autobiography is set to come out in September this year.
