Auto-erotica ad snares women

Crazy stunts, funny adverts and even getting customers to create their own campaigns... automakers will go to great lengths to one-up their competition.

Now Hyundai has turned to "auto-erotic" hypnosis as a marketing gimmick for its new i30 hatchback (video below).

In the campaign, unimaginably titled "Hyundai i30 Online Hypnosis Experiment", the Korean automaker has enlisted the services of hypnotist Peter Powers and invites online participants to promote the new hatchback.

According to the video promotion: "Professional hypnotist Peter Powers will let you experience a unique online hypnosis experiment. An experiment that would be extremely illegal to broadcast on TV. None of the participants in this trailer is an actor and the hypnosis is 100% real."

Does this mean the BCCSA believes hypnosis to be real?

'YOU WANT TO TOUCH IT'

Participants are required to read terms and conditions before viewing the video with a disclaimer stating: "Warning: None of the participants are actors. All hypnosis shown in this video is 100% real and conducted by a professional hypnotist."

In the video you're shown three "healthy, normal, female" participants undergoing hypnosis and told by Powers that they are "madly in love with the car. You want to touch it, stroke it, caress it".

What's more, they proceeded to do just that in a bout of mild, er, auto-erotica!

The video continues with participants in increasingly hilarious scenarios such as being told that the satnav is insulting. We can't help but think why, assuming hypnosis works, they didn't just tell the ladies to buy a new i30?

Judge for yourself and watch the video below:
