Audi may not have plans for a car beneath the A1 (for now) but the company boss is keen to churn out a Q1 SUV.
While media reports have previously speculated about Audi developing a city car based on the Volkswagen Up!, CEO Rupert Stadler didn’t seem so keen in a recent interview with Automotive News Europe.
Stadler said: "I cannot imagine that we will have a new model below our current A1 entry-level car."

Instead, the man at the helm of the luxury brand sees room in Audi’s portfolio for an entry-level SUV below the new Q3 that's set to debut later in 2011.
"The Q family certainly still has potential. It is not yet complete," he said.
A decision hasn’t been taken on whether the SUV will be badged Q1, Stadler added.
