Expect a raft of new vehicles to join the Ingolstadt bill from next year, including the delectable A1 and Audi's first full hybrid.
In an announcement detailing its plans to invest 7.3 billion euros through 2012 with almost 6 billion dedicated for new products and future technologies, Audi also revealed its model additions for 2010.
The company aims to expand its number of models available worldwide from 34 to 42 by 2015.
"With our planned investments in new products and mobility concepts, for example electric propulsion, we are creating a basis for our company's future growth," said Axel Strotbek, Member of the Board of Management for Finance and Organisation at AUDI AG.
For 2010 though, the A1 (which will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March), the A7 four-door coupe, the recently-revealed A8 and R8 Spyder will feature as headline acts.
Audi will also unveil its Q5 Hybrid at the end of 2010 for introduction early in 2011. This model is said to be the manufacturer's first full hybrid.
