Aston Martin’s One-77 walked away with a design award at its public unveiling during the weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza.
The Lake Como hosted event was chosen by Aston boss, Dr Ulrich Bez, to finally show off a rolling, production version of the Gaydon company’s most desirable car ever.
We don't love the seat trim, interior would be a lovely place to spend some time though.
After a raft of concepts and technical illustration show cars, the first of Aston’s 77 production One-77’s was show at the Italian concourse event over the weekend. Of particular interest was the interior layout and trim, which proved to be of the most bespoke, handcrafted variety.
Whilst present, One-77 scooped the Concorso d’Eleganza’s design award, besting the Morgan Aero Supersports, Fisker Karma S, Rinspeed iChange, Zagato Perana Z One and Infiniti Essence – all arresting designs in their own right from the recent motor show circuit.
Powered by a massive 7.3l, Cosworth fettled V12, nestled up front in a carbon-fibre chassis, One-77 is old-school supercar sensibility exquisitely blended with contemporary technology and timeless styling.
Small wonder it commands a £1.2 million sticker price.
