Here is a glimpse at Porsche's soon-to-be released new convertible, the Turbo Cabrio.
Next Porsche 911 cabrio to break cover soon
Prior prototypes have always had some disguise panels on front and rear, but these latest shots show a prototype without any disguise at all.
The convertible will be powered by the same potent 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six as the coupe and offered with the same choice of six-speed manual or Tiptronic S automatic transmission.
The additional weight and rigidity compromises of the convertible will hamper performance a little bit. However, it will only be a fraction slower than the hardtop's 3.4-second sprint to 100 km/h.
The top speed is expected to surpass the current car's limit of 306km/h and the 997 Turbo Cabrio will be offered with a new four-wheel-drive system.
