While the current BMW X3 may need to soldier on for another year or two, the clearest images yet of the all-new model have surfaced.
Captured while the SAV was undergoing road tests outside the company's Munich headquarters, these images show the X3 dimensions will hardly change from the current model.
However, expect styling to reflect elements of the CS Concept and new X3 will have a more prominent grille with new wraparound headlights.
There is reportedly also a greater focus on the interior, where quality is said to be a key concern, especially with the stiff competition offered by the recently revealed Audi Q5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLK.
Expect the engine line-up to be bolstered by BMW's twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight six (already common to the 335i and 135i) and a new 2.0-litre turbodiesel. A hybrid model is also expected to form part of the line-up.
