Mercedes is working on a sporty two-door E-Class coupe estate, according to reports. The new model is expected to mirror the company's Concept Fascination model shown at the 2008 Paris Motorshow. If it gets the go ahead, the E-Class coupe estate is not expected to reach showrooms until 2011. The firm is keen to mirror the success of the CLS four-door coupe with the new model, which would be both spacious but also sleek in its appearance."Mercedes is a big maker of coupes and we're playing with all kinds of shapes around that principle," said head of advanced design Steffen Koehl. "It's only natural that we would think about a sexy and emotional car like the Concept Fascination."For those that prefer the more traditional approach to estate cars, Mercedes will unveil the standard version of the E-Class Estate at the Frankfurt Show in September.
