Fiat's all-new 500 has been exposed! A leaked presentation shows the Italian carmaker's upcoming retro baby in full glory.
The leaked presentation of the new Fiat 500
A leaked document on the internet reveals the small Fiat, which will be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2007.
The car is a reinterpretation of Fiat's legendary 500 city car, which sold in its millions in Italy between 1957 and 1975.
The presentation shows that the new 500 will be very similar to Fiat's 2004 Trepiuno retro concept car.
It also appears to be funky and will apparently have modern features such as an iPod docking station. Insiders say that a drop-top version is also on the cards for 2009.
While the original 500 was rear-engined and rear-wheel drive, the new-generation is based on the Panda platform and therefore places its engine and powered wheels at the opposite end.
