The time has come for BMW to facelift its X5 SAV, and while these images don't show much in the way of aesthetic changes, expect a hot new engine to join the line-up. BMW has not gone to too much trouble to disguise this X5 snapped testing, but this is, of course, merely a nip and tuck. It seems the front bumper will receive the most attention and from these images it appears bolder than the current model's.A new rear bumper will also be introduced. Changes lurking beneath the metal could be a lot more significant, though since BMW tends to introduce a new engine with each new model or facelift. A few options are worth considering. BMW has been exhibiting its concept ActiveHybrids and an X6 hybrid has already been spied testing. Another possibility is the new 408 kW 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 that will be used in the upcoming X5 (and X6) M.
