Although not very clear from these images, shown here is a heavily camouflaged prototype of the next Jaguar XJ.
First shots: New Jaguar XJ
This car may resemble a cross between a battering ram and a cash-in-transit vehicle, but styling of the new XJ will reportedly be very different from that of the current car and even more daring than the stylish XF.
Jaguar designer Ian Callum has previously praised the Mercedes-Benz CLS' design, so don’t be surprised if the traditional Jaguar styling incorporates four-door coupe elements, too.
However, the new XJ's underpinnings won't be entirely new. Instead, Jaguar has decided to modify the existing all-aluminium platform for the new model that is set to make its first appearance early in 2011.
