Little car, big power... Take a look a the first images of Audi's RS3 mule that will source its power from a turbocharged 2.5-litre mill.
Smaller cars with scorching performance are fast becoming the rule rather than the exception and Audi is no different in its apparent desire to cater to the "lower end" of its market…
Audi officials have previously said the company is considering building a RS3 and images of this mule suggest an exciting addition to the A3 range is being prepared.
Power, for one, will come from Audi's potent 2.5-litre five cylinder turbocharged unit recently unveiled in the TT-RS. Its 250 kW and 450 Nm of torque will be channelled through the quattro all wheel drive system.
It has been suggested that the RS3 will probably weigh about the same as TT-RS so expect performance figures of the production car to read like a hot-hatch fantasy; 0-100 km/h time of around 4.6 seconds and a top end of 288 km/h. Oh boy.
