We have images of the menacing Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS caught out testing in the roads around Nürburgring.
Aston Martin confirmed earlier this year that the concept revealed in December 2007 will go into production in the first quarter of 2009.
These spy shots reveal that the production car will feature a rear diffuser similar to the one seen on the concept, while the air intakes on the bonnet are the biggest sign of increased firepower over the "regular" V8.
The Vantage RS is powered by the 6.0-litre V12 shoehorned into the current DBS, though unlike the 447-kW version used in the concept it will likely be detuned to a mere 410 kW to improve its durability.
One of two new Vantage derivatives promised to enter production in the next year or so, Vantage RS will be built at Aston Martin's Gaydon plant.
