The rumours have been circulating for a while now that the new Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS would eventually shake off its roof to transform into a convertible. It's happening; we have proof.
380 kW Aston baby blows its top
This cabriolet was recently snapped testing around the Nurburgring and shows that, like the coupe, this model should be quite extreme.
Although not an out-and-out track machine (the RS in its nomenclature is for "road sport") this convertible will still benefit from some enviable firepower thanks to its 6.0-litre V12 powerplant.
It shares this power with the V12 Vantage coupe shown at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Although it was said that only 1 000 units of the coupe would be produced, output of 380 kW and 570 Nm at 6 500 and 5 750 r/min, respectively, should win it - and the drop-top version - a fair number of fans.
