South Africa's 4x4 Fundi Challenge is changing focus from individuals representing themselves and certain clubs to a more direct club focus.It will now be known as the Bridgestone 4x4 Club Challenge, says organiser, Daniel Barbosa.“The new approach will include an in-house club challenge for clubs nominated to participate in the 2013 Challenge,” he said, adding that participants needed to belong to a nominated club to enter.STILL ABOUT ENTHUSIASTSEach event will be organised by a specific club "to ensure high standards of environmental care and 4x4 driving ethics" and to provide a wide diversity of challenges, among them obstacle events and GPS and trail-based tests."Even with the changes to the format," Barbosa said, "the event will still be about 4x4 enthusiasts displaying their driving skills in standard vehicles and high standards will be maintained.“We want to create vehicle and family-friendly events that are safe for the participants and spectators.
