Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May and their tame test driver The Stig will be at the Moses Mabhida Stadium for the 2013 Top Gear Festival in Durban.

They will be joined by double Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen and other celebrity guest drivers for the street-circuit festivities.

As always, South Africa ranks high on the list of Top Gear’s best places to host its motoring show. Find out what Clarkson and May had to say about the 2013 festival.

The show’s organisers said it would deliver another “epic event with four sensational live stadium performances involving the Top Gear Live Stunt Driving Team and The Stig”.

LOCAL DRIVERS AND CELEBS

At its 2012 show the Top Gear stunt team pulled off its "death-defying Deadly 720" loop-the-loop stunt and set a world record.

Hakkinen will demonstrate his skills on the Durban Street Circuit while local motorsport drivers will complete outlandish motoring challenges. Spectators will also get to see local celebs take on the 'Star in a Car' challenge.

Visitors can also check out the latest models at the motoring expo in the People’s Park. Durban’s second Top Gear Festival will take place over June 15/16 2013.

Ticket prices:
