Obviously the next Toyota Prius will keep its petrol-hybrid powertrain, but Toyota has said its styling will be sportier.
Although the Prius has been a huge success for Toyota, the brand accepts that it hasn't been quite as popular as it could have been without its 'fuddy-duddy' image.
The next generation car is set to change that though when it is unveiled in 2009.
Toyota's managing director Miguel Fonseca says, "It will be cleaner, with CO2 emissions below 100g/km. We could have gone lower, but instead we have chosen to give the Prius better performance."
