Durban: Drifting, bling and mods

Did up know Durban also does a motor show? Maybe not as big as Jozi's, but a great day out for the family. It will run from November 8-10.

If you missed all the cars and events at the 2013 Jozi motor show, get to Durban for that city’s own 2013 Petrol Heaven in November.

The 2013 Durban Motor Show will take place at the Durban Exhibition Centre from November 8-10.

ACCESSORIES, TOO

There’ll be a range of exotic brands on display, including McLaren, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce; special appearances by GC Racing and a range of aftermarket accessories including CPI Chiptuning, SA Classic Motorcycles and Sound Lab.

The Durban show has never just had static displays, it also caters for enthusiasts who love racing and car modifications. Highlights will include the Harley-Davidson 3-D Experience Truck where you can test drive your dream bike; Nissan R33 Drag Car static launches by GC Racing; The Jetstream F1 car; modified Chevrolet Luminas in the Suicide Ride arena and live spray demos by Wicked Dips.

More than 30 of South Africa’s top drifters will compete in the SupaDrift Series which has travelled around the country through 2013. Durban will be the final stint and the first National drift champion will be crowned at the show.

Visitors can also take part in the ‘Show-and-Shine/ Sound Off’ competitions.
