Renowned VW and Audi tuner Abt, have upped the aesthetic and dynamic appeal of the new VW Tiguan SUV.
Improving on the new mid-sized SUV lines were not going to be easy without losing the purity of proportions and flow, but the crew van Kempten did a great job.
The single components perfectly harmonize with each other. The front spoiler and grille accentuate the impish face and let it look considerably more aggressive.
Thanks to the fender extensions the Abt Tiguan appears brawnier too. A rear skirt and wing form round off the brawnier shape strongly whilst perfectly harmonising with the 4-pipe rear exhaust.
No Abt VW tuned vehicle would do without the requisite oversized wheel and tyre combinations and the Abt Tiguan is no exception. Owners can choose to fit either the classic AR or the new BR wheel in sizes of 18-, 19- or even a mighty, 20-inches. Hiding behind these impressive wheels are equally authorative brakes measuring 345mm x 30mm.
Providing a commensurate amount of go to match the styling show are a host of power upgrades. The 1.4 TSI output is increased from 110 kW to 147 kW, whilst the 2-litre turbo diesel offers 125 kW instead of 103 kW.
For customers demanding the ultimate in Tiguan power an Abt Power S package featuring a new Abt Turbo comes into the equation. In this application the 2.0 TDI engine is boosted to 147 kW.
