Hamann 'spoils' BMW's 730d
One of Germany’s most reputable BMW tuners – Hamann – has lavished even more style upon BMW’s latest 7 Series.
The Laupheim-based aftermarket auto specialist is known for high quality conversions, and this F01/F02 tuning kit is no different.
From the LED daytime running lights residing in the new front skirt, through to the subtle side skirts and roof/bootlid spoiler combination, execution is inch perfect.
Dual spoilers around the rear third of the car are a bit much, simple single-piece alloys are very neat though.
Rolling on a set of 22-inch one-piece alloy wheels, the Hamann 7 Series, equipped with new dampers (which lower ride height by 40mm) should have a detrimental effect on ride quality.
Considering the German domestic car market is dominated by diesel vehicles, Hamann is currently developing a significant conversion for the 730d’s twin-turbo, in-line six cylinder engine - hinging around larger turbos.
For now, customers can specify a reprogramming of the ECU management system, which in conjunction with the custom shaped, 90mm stainless steel quad exhausts, boosts power by 33kW from 180kW to 213kW.
Interior embellishments include non-slip aluminium pedals, and custom leather to cover everything but the dials and windows.
