Gemballa's mad 447kW 911 soft-top

2008-05-20 10:51
Get out the defibrillator Porschephiles, Uwe Gembella's new Avalanche Roadster is here, complete with mad bodykit and 447kW power.

Styling, in true Gemballa tradition, is unwittingly mad. The standard 911 Turbo soft-top pales in comparison.

With opulent side skirts flowing directly in a bold line to the newly constructed, completely metal-finished broadening of the body, with a larger air intake for the strengthened turbo engine, it cuts a mighty autobahn presence.

The twin double exhaust-pipes have been moved to the centre of the rear bumper, which also includes a stabilising diffuser. Positioning of the exhausts combined with the framing sports grid helps draw heat away from the rear-mounted engine.

Thanks to mechanical and electronic optimisation, the fabled Porsche 3.6-litre, flat-six turbo engine boasts 447kW and 840Nm of torque. Rather unsurprisingly the 0-100 km/h sprint time is only 3.5 seconds and top speed 320 km/h

To ensure that the car maintains its road-holding despite its exuberant power, it boasts a latest-generation H&R stainless steel coil over which has been specially adapted for the Avalanche Roadster.

High quality nubuck leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre adorn the interior and embellish trim components.

In accordance with the current black lacquer fetish in the aftermarket tuning industry, the Magic Black model of the Avalanche Roadster has been given a completely matt finish - matt black paint, matt black nubuck interior - Darth Vader would love it.
