Leading aftermarket Audi tuner Abt has wasted no time in offering exterior styling solutions and power upgrades for the new A4 range.
With the new A4 being the largest one yet, featuring the signature rounded and oversized Audi front grille, designers have done well to disguise most of the newfound bulk.
Abt have customised front and side skirts, as well as fender inlets available for the new A4. A rear skirt and spoiler unit round off the styling package.
Elegant AR-series or even more elaborate BR-series wheels are available in sizes from 18- to 20-inches, masking the upgraded Abt brakes, available in either 345mm or Abt sport trim of 380mm, significantly larger than the largest standard spec A4 brakes at 320mm.
With the exterior styling package enhancing aerodynamics, the Abt adjustable sport suspension has been developed to dovetail perfectly between the upgraded aerodynamic package and increased power on offer.
Huge diesel power boost
Abt offers power upgrade packages on four engines in the A4 range. Two states of tune are available on the 1.8-litre turbocharged direct injection model (TFSI), with power boosting from a standard 118kW to either 147kW, or 177kW in Abt S trim.
The three turbodiesel engines - 2-, 2.7- and 3-litre TDI variants - also receive significant power hikes. Entry level 2-litre TDI goes from 105kW to 125kW or even as high as 147kW in Abt S mode; whilst the 2.7-litre TDI is boosted from 140kW standard to 162kW.
If you yearn for even more urgent turbodiesel performance Abt can boost your 3-litre TDI from 177kW in standard trim to either 199kW or 221kW with an accompanying 600Nm carrying the Abt S moniker.
