Couple buy, crash and ditch lambo

CALIFORNIA, USA - If you recently purchased a supercar chances are you're going to treat it as a prized possession and not ditch it after a crash. Sadly, that's exactly what a Californian couple did to their Italian supercar.

According to NBC, a Lamborghini Murcielago was left stranded on the road following a crash. The two occupants were spotted running away after the car crashed into a wall.

The 2008 Murcielago was sporting dealer plates from Lamborghini Newport Beach and was left in the middle of the street according to San Diego police.

NEGLIGENCE OR FRAUD?

A witness told investigators that two people were seen leaving the car. One was described as a blonde woman believed to be in her 50s wearing a black hoodie and the other a much shorter man.

Negligence by those with more cents than sense? Or insurance fraudster hoping to make a return on a policy? Perhaps the pair will claim that it was stolen or that they were trying to sober up before coming forward?

Regardless, this is not how we should treat a pedigree Italian supercar.
