Sun City, Johannesburg - There are still five weeks to enter for the inaugural Concours South Africa at Sun City on September 9-11, 2016.

Concours South Africa gives owners of a broad sweep of collectible cars the unique chance to show off their vehicles.

Entries keeps rising

Organiser Ross Crichton says: “We are delighted with the buzz that this event has generated, and even more excited as to the range of entries already received.

“We envisaged an event where we had cars ranging from the early 1900s to the current day supercars, and judging by the early entries received, this dream entry is well on its way to being fulfilled.”

Entries for the Concours and Show and Shine sections of the event close on July 31, 2016, to enable the organisers to plan accordingly and allocate berths to the 150 to 160 cars expected for the two main show areas. These are on the lawns adjacent to the Gary Player Country Club.

Car clubs and private owners driving up to the event on a day-tripper basis will be able to park in special bays allocated directly outside the Sun City Hotel area inside the resort, and just a short walk away from the main show area.

Vision coming to life

Co-organiser Paul Kennard says: “We already have some mouth-watering classics to stand proud along the vast array of supercars that will be making the trip to Sun City. And so far, judging by early entries, this is the mix we are after!”

“What’s gratifying is that we already have entries from as far afield as Hillcrest in KZN. I was also particularly intrigued by the entry of the classic Land Cruiser, showing just how diverse our pool of collectible cars is in this country!”
