Mercedes-Benz will refresh its E-Class range in 2013, four years into its current life cycle.

Spy images of the new E-Class Cabriolet have been captured.

The cabrio's updates appear to focus on the front end, featuring a new grille with perhaps just a single large crossbar and a single-unit headlight layout. The front looks to be framed by a larger and lower air inlet.

Major changes are hard to spot beneath the heavy camouflage.

The rear bumper looks to be revised while the tail lights, boot and side skirts appear to be unchanged.

From behind the wheel, the most noticeable changes to the facelift are likely to be in terms of its technology. Mercedes-Benz will add an upgraded night-vision system, lane-assist, multi-directional LED lighting, and improved dampers for better handling.
