MORE THAN SLIGHTLY USED... James Bond's Aston Martin DBS had a short, but tough, life filming 'Quantum of Silence' but it's yours for R1.3-million.

The Aston Martin V12 DBS coupe which featured in the James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' will be the top attraction at a charity auction marking the 50th anniversary of the first 007 film, 'Dr. No'.

SUNSHADES, TOO...

Christie's auctioneers said the car, a 2008 model, was expected to sell for the equivalent of at least R1.3-million at an invitation-only auction on October 5 2012. Proceeds will benefit Barnardo's, a British children's charity.

Nine other items, including sunglasses worn by Daniel 'James Bond' Craig in 'Quantum of Solace', will also be offered to generate money for other charities.
