The 323i and 330d are to join the 320i, 320d, 325i and 330i derivatives.

As with the other engine options the 323i and 330d are available with six-speed manual or six-speed Steptronic automatic transmissions.

Like all 3 Series models these versions also come with run flat tyres and a host of safety features.

Standard features include automatic air-conditioning and a multifunction steering wheel.

Of course there is an extensive list of optional extras and different trim levels to choose from.

Under the bonnet of the 323i model is BMW's 2.5-litre straight-six engine. This unit has a power output of 130 kW at 5 800 r/min, while torque is 230 Nm available between 3 500 and 5 000 r/min.

The 330d, which is the new range-topper in the 3 Series line-up, comes with a potent 3-litre turbodiesel engine. It develops 160 kW at 4 000 r/min and torque is a whopping 480 Nm available between 1 750 and 2750 r/min.
