ROSEBANK, Gauteng and MILNERTON, Cape Town - 27 people hurt in just two taxi crashes, 12 in Rosebank, northern Johannesburg, and 15 in Cape Town.
ER24 has reported through Arrive Alive that the Johannesburg crash on Wednesday (July 15) involved the taxi and two other vehicles and that the taxi rolled.
When paramedics arrived the taxi was lying on its side. All the passengers, including those injured, had climbed out of the vehicle.
ER24 reported that one person had moderate injuries, the rest minor.
...AND IN CAPE TOWN
The Cape Town 15 were injured when the taxi and a light motor vehicle collided at the junction of Plattekloof and Koeberg roads in Milnerton, also on Wednesday.
The report on Arrive Alive's website said paramedics had found some patients lying down, others walking around, when they arrived. Injuries werre "minor to moderate".
The taxi was lying on its side.
The injured were treated on site then taken to local hospitals for further medical care. The blame for the collisions was not know but but the authorities were at the scenes for further investigation.
