20 of 60 stolen Red Bull trophies found

LONDON, England – Some of the trophies stolen from the Red Bull Formula 1 factory in Milton Keynes, a town in Buckinghamshire, England, a week earlier has been found in a lake.

Around 20 of the 60 items stolen during a car ram-road through the glass doors of the building 10 days earlier were recovered from the lake after being spotted by a passer-by near the town of Sandhurst, around 95km from Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police said: "We are liaising with Red Bull to establish the exact number as some of the trophies are damaged."

MYSTERIOUS THEFT

Team principal Christian Horner said at the time that he was puzzled why anybody would want to steal items that had low intrinsic value.

Red Bull entered F1 in 2005 and team driver Sebastian Vettel won the title four years in a row from 2010-13. The team also won the Constructors' championship in each of those years.
