VW launches special edition Polo: New Storm hits SA

Cape Town - Volkswagen has enhanced its best-selling Polo Vivo range with the addition of a visually striking special edition in SA, the new Storm.

The Polo Vivo has been the top selling passenger model since its market introduction in March 2010. To date, Polo Vivo (hatch and sedan body variants) has sold 217 139 units.

The special edition Storm is based on the 1.4i Trendline with 63kW hatch body variant.

The new Polo Vivo Storm retails for R187 300.

Style upgrade

The Storm gains foglights (with chromed surrounds), black metallic 15" Tosa alloy wheels, glossy black side-mirrors and black decals along its flanks. Compared to the stardard Polo, the Storm gains chromed, dual exhausts.

According to VWSA: "The dashboard has a two-tone finish in grey and ceramique. The air vents, centre console, lower parcel trays and cup holder are in a ceramique finish. The steering wheel, gear gaiter, hand brake lever are all in leather with grey stitching."

The seats have a three-tone trim design. The roof lining is coloured in anthracite. A CD/Radio with Bluetooth connectivity, SD Card, USB port and six speakers is standard.
