Toyota SA launches new Yaris Bi-tone

Cape Town - Look around in traffic and you'll notice almost all Toyotas are either white or silver...However, Toyota says in recent times their customers have opted for more exotic hues.

Hence for 2016, Toyota has announced that it will make three all-new Bi-Tone shades available for its Yaris.

New colours

Toyota claims this colour combo palette accentuates the highly distinctive architecture of the new Yaris, particularly the way in which the narrow upper and gaping lower trapezoidal grilles twist and merge at the point of the Toyota emblem, to form a cross shape.

This latest tonal option plays up the Yaris's fun-loving persona by bringing a "wrap-around" metallic black exterior treatment for the upper half of the body paired with three, new exclusive colour ways:

 •  Pearl White paired with a metallic black upper body
 •  Crimson Metallic paired with a metallic black upper body
 •  Grey Metallic paired with a metallic black upper body

Yaris models are available with features such as daytime running lights (LED for the Hybrid), electric windows all round, leather-clad steering wheel and gear knob, and the latest Toyota Touch Multimedia system (with Bluetooth hands-free functionality) all fitted as standard, says the automaker.

Extensive standard kit  

Standard on the models are 15" alloy wheels, remote central locking (with a foldable bayonet key), air conditioning, electric mirrors, power steering, steering-wheel controls, dual front and side airbags and ABS with EBD and Brake Assist.

Kit for the Hybrid model (HSD) adds:

 •  Reverse camera with guide lines
 •  7 airbags including a knee bag
 •  Traction and stability control
 •  Keyless Push Start system
 •  LED daytime running lights
 •  Exclusive Hybrid badging

Petrol-powered Yaris variants come with a standard three-year or 45 000km service plan while the Hybrid model comes with a four-year or 60 000km service with an 8-year or 195 000km hybrid battery warranty.
