Cape Town - McLaren launched a third bodystyle in its Sports Series family earlier in 2017 - the 570S Spider.
It made its world debut at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It uses the same retractable hardtop using technology fitted to the the 650S and 675LT Spiders.
Top speed is 315km/h
It's powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine with a seven-speed gearbox produces 426kW and 600Nm.
McLaren says the convertible models weighs 46kg more than the 570S Coupé. The roof takes 15 seconds to open or close, at vehicle speeds of up to 40km/h.
