Johannesburg - Tata has launched a limited edition version of its Xenon XT double cab in SA - it's called the Evolve.
The limited edition, based on the Xenon XT (only available in white), is available in 4x2 guise while a 4x4 derivative is, Tata says, “available to special order”.
The new limited edition Evolve 4x2 double cab model is priced at R264 995.
Lots of features
Building on the XT-specification, the exterior gains a roll-over bar behind the cab, side steps, a front nudge bar, tow-hitch, unique badging, special decals and new alloy rims.
Inside, the bakkie receives luxury leather seats and Evolve logos for the floor mats.
Standard features include ABS, dual airbags, satnav and Bluetooth connectivity, power windows, power steering, audio system with MP3 player and a tilt-adjustable steering column.
Double cab unit are equipped with lockable rear-differential while single cab derivatives sport a limited slip differential.
The Evolve is powered by 2.2-litre turbo-diesel capable of 110kW/320Nm. Power is driven to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual.
The Tata Xenon Evolve is sold with a four-year or 120 000km warranty, five-year or 75 000km service plan, four-year or 120 000km anti corrosion warranty and four-year or unlimited kilometre roadside assistance.
