Cape Town - Volvo Cars has revealed a performance-inspired R-Design version of the new S90. Central to the S90 R-Design is an advanced sports chassis which provides a spirited, road-hugging drive, according to Volvo.
Björn Annwall, senior vice-president, marketing, sales and customer service at Volvo Cars, says: “R-Design delivers an extra edge to our elegant new 90-series sedan, with a winning combination of a sportier, more responsive drive with clearly visible performance styling."
Sporty design
Sporting a new front-end design with spoiler-integrated fog lights, the R-Design model comes with a unique grille and extended piano black trim both front and rear. New five-spoke matt black diamond-cut wheels add to the performance feel, says Volvo.

A wide range of styling cues are included on the inside - from unique décor trim, pedals and floor mats, to the sporty contour seats and special steering wheel, including a high level interior illumination package that radiates attention to detail, says the automaker.
R-Design derivatives of the new S90 range will be available in South Africa in 2017, following the local launch of the new S90 later in 2016.
