Cheapest M4 in SA: GWM's refreshed SUV arrives

Cape Town - GWM has launched its updated M4 1.5 litre compact SUV in South Africa.

Hans Greyling, GWM sales manager, said: "Our customer base knows what they want from a car. The tighter economy has also forced customers to do their homework, shop around and get the most possible value for their hard-earned cash.

"The GWM M4 provides exactly that – a good-looking drive that ticks the affordability, style and safety boxes, and opens up a more adventurous lifestyle.”

The updated version builds on the M4's existing features and adds Daytime Running Lights, new grille, reversing radar and a car-locating function.

Performance

The M4 is powered by a 1.5 litre VVTi petrol engine capable of 71kW/138Nm mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

Safety

Apart from ABS with EBD, the GWM M4’s safety features include dual airbags, seatbelt unfastening warning system, child seat anchorages and child door locks.

A rear window defogger, height adjustable head lights, and front and rear fog lights ensure improved visibility.

The M4 also features an immobiliser, remote central locking, Bluetooth and cruise control and auto aircon.

The GWM M4 is priced at R189 900 and is sold with a five-year or 100 000km warranty. It has an optional five-year or 60 000km service plan.
