Cape Town - BMW's fastest M4 yet, the new GTS, is set to arrive in South Africa later in 2016.
What makes it special? The M4 GTS is powered by a six-cylinder in-line turbo engine borrowed from the standard BMW M3/M4 (317kW/550Nm) but adds innovative water injection technology to give the 3.0-litre unit a substantial power boost to 368kW/600Nm.
The GTS should arrive at local dealerships in September.
Power is driven to the rear-wheel via a seven-speed double clutch transmission. It's capable of rocketing to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 305km/h.
Exclusive BMW for SA
How much can you expect to pay for the new model? BMW SA confirms the new M4 GTS will retail for R2 134 500.
Only 700 will be made of which 25 units are headed for SA.
