BMW launches new 3 Series Edition models for SA

Munich - BMW has confirmed production of three new editions to its 3 Series range; namely the Sport Line Shadow, the Luxury Line Purity (not available locally) and the M Sport Shadow. Only the Sport Line and M-Sport shadow will be available locally.

Since 1975, the 3 Series has sold more than 15 million units worldwide. The 3 Series edition models can be ordered in addition to the existing equipment lines and in conjunction with all available engines. 

What sets these models apart from a regular 3 Series?

The Edition Sport Line Shadow and the Edition M Sport Shadow feature black inserts for the headlamp assemblies, dark taillight clusters, black surrounds for kidney grille, black inserts for the lower air intake, chrome Black exhaust tailpipes and 18-inch light alloy wheels sporting a double-spoke design.

Edition M Sport Shadow: (only available for the 320i, 320d, 330i, 330e and 340i).

In addition, the Edition M Sport Shadow features tangible additions to the driving dynamics includes an M Sports suspension, the M aerodynamics package and M light alloys.

The Edition Luxury Line Purity is more aesthetically rich with a satin-finished aluminium, which include the side window surrounds, the air intake inserts, the BMW kidney grille bars and surrounds, the rear bumper cover, exhaust tailpipes and 17" alloys.

Inside, expect sports seats in fabric/leather and interior trim strips in the new variant dark aluminium carbon in the Edition Sport Line Shadow model. Interior features of the Edition M Sport Shadow comprise leather sports seats with blue contrast stitching and interior trim strips in the variant Dark Aluminium Carbon with Pearlescent Chrome accentuating strips.

These features are complemented by the M steering wheel, anthracite roof liner, M doorsill trims and the Driver Experience Control Switch incl. SPORT+ mode, all of which are already included in the range of equipment for the model M Sport. 

Parallel to the market launch of the new edition models, the range of standard equipment for the BMW 3 Series Sedan and the BMW 3 Series Touring is being complemented by LED headlights and LED fog lights.
