Video: Nismo 370Z for Geneva

GENEVA, Switzerland - Hot on the trail of the Juke Nismo, Nissan's performance division has unveiled another vehicle in its European model range ahead of its public debut at the 2013 Geneva International Auto Show in March.

The rear-wheel drive European version has been specially developed to suit both on road driving and performance enthusiasts.

The model is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 capable of 257kW and 371Nm. The engine is coupled with a six-speed manual and enables the 370z to rocket from 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds.

As with any Nismo car, it features an aerodynamic design with loads of Z-features and red styling cues like the distinctive pinstripe lines front and rear end as well as the side mirrors.

At the front, Nismo has given the model an assertive redesign to enhance airflow under the car. This makes for better stability through cornering and higher speeds. The tweaked suspension and chassis adds to the additional downforce.

Other changes include dark grey superlight 19" alloys with red brake calipers and wider tyres. At the rear there’s a fancy new spoiler which also aids aerodynamic performance.

The interior has an alcantara leather steering wheel, power sport seats with Nismo badging and red stitching. A numbered Nismo plate adds exclusivity to each model.

Even the brakes have not been left untouched by the engineers: high rigidity brake hoses and high performance brake fluid has been implemented from the R35 GT-R.

To make the Z sound even better, an exclusive Nismo dual exhaust system enhances and amplifies the V6 engine’s tune.

For any more specifications we’ll have to wait until March 5 for its public debut at the 2013 Geneva auto show.
