For 2013, the 50th anniversary of the 911, Porsche is about to open a new era in race-track performance sports cars.
What it says is the fifth generation of the 911 GT3, a complete new development, will take pole position among thoroughbred Porsche sports cars with non-turbo engines.

Boxer engine, transmission, body and chassis are new and constitute a development of the 911 GT3 concept.
With 354kW gets to 100km/h in 3.5sec and top speed of 315km/h. Its lap time at the Nürburgring was less than 7min30.
As technical highlights, it has the first active rear-wheel steering in a production Porsche as well as full diode headlights.
