Nissan SA has expanded its second-generation Qashqai crossover range, launched locally in 2014, with two new units to take to seven the SA models - the new Acenta Xtronic 1.2 and Acenta 1.6T turbo petrol.
NEW XTRONIC
The 1.2T Acenta Xtronic has the familiar 85kW/165Nm turbocharged 1.2 petrol engine that powers its siblings, though driving througha new Xtronic auto transmission.
Fuel consumption is listed as 6.2 litres/100km and the auto offers an Eco mode.
RANGE-TOPPING ACENTA
The new range-topping 1.6T Acenta is powered by a 120kW/240Nm 1.6 turbo petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual. Fuel consumption is also listed as 6.2 litres/100km withCO2 emissions of 144g/km. The 1.6T is equipped with stop/start.
Standard kit for both models includes alloy rims (17" on the 1.2T, 19" on the 1.6T), LEDs, privacy glass, auto wipers and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

The 1.6T Acenta adds auto-leveling LED headlights, silver roof rails, chromed fog lights and keyless entry with push-button start.
Available as an option on both is Nissan's techno pack which adds the automaker's around-view monitor, heatable external mirrors, NissanConnect for smartphone integration and satnav with a 17cm touch screen. Heatable leather seats are optional on the 1.6T.
