Toyota has announced two limited edition RF models of the Yaris based on the T3+ specification. The RF range features differentiating visual and audio upgrades.

Both feature the same 1.3 litre, 4-cylinder VVT-i engine fitted to the Yaris T3+. This engine produces 63 kW at 6 000 r/min with maximum torque of 121 Nm at 4 400 r/min. No change on the performance front then.

Exterior styling cues which differentiate the RF Edition from lesser Yaris models are a rear spoiler; chrome tailpipe finisher; and RF badging. Wheels are upgraded to 15' alloy items shod with 185/60 R15 radial tyres. The RF embroidered carpet set and leather seat trim round off the interior trim package.

The audio system on both derivatives gains a major upgrade with a high quality Rockford Fosgate Sound system - hence the RF nomenclature - in place of the standard system. This package includes an amplifier and speaker upgrade for both hatch and sedan.

The Yaris RF hatch features a two speaker upgrade plus subwoofer while the sedan version has a four-speaker upgrade.
