Toyota’s fourth-generation RAV4 has been launched in Europe in 2013. Hot off the launch of its best-selling SUV the Japanese automaker debuts two new style editions at the 2013 Geneva auto show.
The models are kitted with two themes in mind – Premium (chromed elements) and Adventure (for the outdoors).
RAV4 PREMIUM
Toyota says its Premium design has been developed to “give the new model added sophistication”. Both the bodywork and bumpers are finished in bronze. The grille has horizontal lines and air intakes and the headlights sport tweaked LEDs.
Rear gains chromed inserts on the bumper, aluminium skid plates and an integrated tailpipe design along with a chromed spoiler.
The model rides on 20” alloys matched to aluminium roof rails.
Toyota’s Kansei design department, part of the automakers R&D operation in Brussels, was responsible for leather upholstery in the cabin.
New black piping and a V-shaped outline has been used on the seats along with two-tone double stitching. Grey and black leather are also used for the instruments and door panels.
RAV4 ADVENTURE
The RAV4 Adventure hopes to attract outdoor enthusiasts by reinforcing the model’s off-road capabilities.
The model has been finished red and has extended wheel arches to accommodate the 20” alloys.
The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned and finished with matt paint. The front the bumper has been altered and the rear now sports integrated twin exhaust pipes.
The model has roof rails and tinted privacy glass to complete the Adventure look.
