The Swift 1.2 Hatch’s modern design presents an attractive and instantly recognisable car. The interior is pleasantly presented, turning the simple yet elegant and ergonomically designed cabin layout into the perfect place to explore your heart’s desires.
Externally, the updated Swift 1.2 features a new grille and front bumper design. A new range of exterior colours are offered on all models with full-sized wheel covers standard, too.
IMPROVED FEATURES
Inside, the GL model has now gained Bluetooth connectivity, while the rear bench seat of the Swift 1.2 is now split 60:40 for improved versatility. The height-adjustable steering wheel is designed to optimise your comfort while the audio control buttons built into the steering wheel let you control the audio with ease (GL model).
Four speakers with excellent sound quality complement the Swift 1.2 Hatch’s built-in digital Radio/CD unit (GL model).
The meter cluster offers essential information with a liquid crystal display. When the meters are illuminated, light passes through the crystal, creating a sporty, stylish look.
The generous cabin dimensions seat four in comfort with plenty of legroom, and when it comes to boot space, the Swift 1.2 Hatch is modest but more flexible than you might imagine.
'QUIETEST DRIVE POSSIBLE'
The Swift 1.2 has been designed to provide the quietest drive possible. Sound-absorbing materials and aerodynamically efficient designs, including the side rear view mirrors, ensure superb noise suppression. This car is not only designed to be driven but also to be thoroughly enjoyed. For added convenience, the Swift 1.2 Hatch is equipped with a keyless entry system.
High-level features and easy-on-the-eye good looks mean nothing without the driving pleasure and performance to match. Coupled with being one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class, this model is also ultra-responsive.
The Swift 1.2 petrol engine is ready and willing, also allowing for stress-free highway cruising.
For budget-conscious motorists, the improved efficiency and reduced fuel consumption of the Swift 1.2 models will be particularly good news.
1.2 LITRE ENGINE
As before, the Swift 1.2 Hatch is powered by a 1.2 litre four-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 62kW at 6000 r/min, and a torque peak of 115Nm at 4000 r/min. The combined-cycle fuel consumption has been reduced from 5.7 litres/100 km to 5.3 litres/100 km for the manual transmission model – an improvement of 7.1%.
The automatic version now achieves a consumption figure of 5.8 litres/100 km, compared to the 6,3 litres/100 km of the previous version, which represents an improvement of 7.9%.
The Swift 1.2 Hatch proves easy to drive in everyday situations. The steering is light but accurate, while the brakes, gearshift and minor controls require little effort to operate. Ride quality is pleasingly supple around town and stable at speed, exceeding all expectations.
