Suzuki Auto South Africa has upgraded the Summit version of its Grand Vitara compact SUV.

The interior features champagne gold trim accents for the steering-wheel, instrument borders, air vent bezels and gearshifter, while the door panels feature cloth-accented trim with prominent stitching. The seat upholstery has also been updated to feature cloth upholstery with suede-enhanced bolsters.
The Grand Vitara Summit remains mechanically unchanged: a 2.4 four-cylinder petrol engine and either five-speed manual or a four-speed auto transmission.
Rated power is 122kW at 6000rpm and 225Nm at 4000rpm. Suzuki says the the car is unique in this segment, being equipped with all-wheel drive and low-range.
Highlights include remote central locking, aircon, power-assisted steering, power windows, a four-speaker CD sound system and cruise control.
Safety items include two front airbags, inertia reel seat belts, head restraints, and anti-lock brakes with electronic pressure distribution and emergency braking assistance.
The four-model Suzuki Grand Vitara range is covered by a three-year or 100 000km warranty and a six-year or 90 000km service plan is standard.
