According to Chevrolet SA: "The names of the limited edition models say it all: Working and Surf. The specialised nature of the former is addressed with a cluster of common-sense add-ons, which underpin the Utility’s ability to add value to businesses large and small."

The Ute Working has a cab protector, rubberised load box, body decals, new wheel covers and a radio/CD-player. It can be specified with or without aircon. Only 200 will be built.

The Ute Surf is, Chev says, "designed to have special appeal for South Africa’s fun-loving individuals". It has a tubular, stainless-steel sport bar, roof rack/spoiler, blacked-out B-pillar, special decals (which also run along the loadbay and tailgate), dark headlight surrounds and five-spoke alloy rims. A radio/CD unit and aircon is standard.

The Surf bakkie can be powered by either a 1.4 or 1.8-litre petrol engine, the latter producing 77kW/161Nm.

Only 400 Surf units will be built.

The UteWorking is priced from R154 400.00, with the Ute Surf starting at R159 200. Pricing of all Chevrolet models includes a five-year or 120 000km warranty and a five-year or unlimited mileage anti-corrosion warranty.
