DETROIT, Michigan - We're in a time where hybrids and electric cars are politically correct but General Motors is bringing out a 2014 Cadillac XTS sedan with a twin-turbo, 3.6-litre V6 pushing out 302kW/500Nm.
Sadly, Cadillacs are no longer being sold in SA. They tried, but failed and ended sales in early 2010.
According to the Detroit News, the 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport will be available only in the higher-specified trim options, including 20" rims and a special grille. It starts at the equivalent of R634 600.
NEW ERA
GM said production of the new twin-turbo V6 would start in August 2013.
GM’s Bob Ferguson, VP of global Cadillac, said: “The addition of this Cadillac twin-turbo expands and elevates the XTS luxury sedan. This is a compelling enhancement to what is already one of the most technically advanced sedans in our history.”
The entry-level Cadillac XTS price tag remains unchanged at the equivalent of R458 400. The DetNews also reported the new CTS models will be available from September 2013.
