Subaru coupe ready for LA
Subaru has announced that its BRZ concept coupe will have its world premiere at the 2011 Los Angeles auto show from November 18-27.
The car is a precursor to the Subaru BRZ which will have its production debut at the Tokyo auto show the following month.
It has been built around Subaru’s core technologies with a two-litre boxer engine developed specifically for the model and with the latest direct fuel-injection technology. It will drive only the rear wheels.
The BRZ is being developed as part of an on-going joint project with Toyota but production will be at Subaru’s Gunma plant in Japan from early 2012.

Looks better than the F86. Needs a high pressure turbo to deliver 200Kw+ through those rear wheels. Anyone got final specs on the engine output?

It gonna have a 2.0 litre block pushing out 158kw power and 230nm torque. It going to weigh in at 1250kg so is good for a estimate time of 0 - 100 in 6sec and tops off at 225. The only prob here is it is expected to hit Euro showrooms for 30K pounds. That means we will be paying close onto R420K for this.
