Sportier look for VW’s Touareg

STYLING TOUCH-UP: The VW Touareg range, launched in South Africa in 2010, is now available with an optional R-Line package.
Volkswagen SA has introduced an R-Line package to emphasise the the athleticism of its big Touareg SUV that was launched in South Africa in 2010.

The Touareg is the first of the current line of VW's sold in South Africa to be offered with the optional package, which includes R-Design features and a sport suspension.
FOR GOOD SPORTS
The R-Line line, intended to give the Touareg a more dynamic exterior look, includes a new front spoiler, a matte black rear diffuser and oval tailpipes piercing the redesigned rear bumper. A roof spoiler completes the look from the rear and body-coloured sills and chromed door bump strips distinguish the R-Line model in profile.
The exterior look is finished off with 20” alloy rims.
Leather sport seats are provided for the front occupants, there are shift paddles on the leather-trimmed steering wheel (with gloss black inserts), and pedals and door sills in stainless steel.
The R-Line package costs R35 000 and is available on all Touareg derivatives except the Terrain Tech.
