The new Panamera GTS (or Gran Turismo Sport) has just been unveiled in Stuttgart, Germany, and promises more power and upgraded brakes, a chassis tuned for sportier activities and a body that is lower by 10mm over the "regular" Panamera.
SPEEDY LIMO
This Panamera makes use of an adaptive air suspension and Porsche’s active suspension management (PASM) system to constantly adapt the ride to different driving conditions by adjusting height levels and spring rates, and employing an electrically adjusting damping system designed to be more rigid.
BY INVITATION ONLY: Sport seats and exclusive leather finishes await GTS owners.
The sportiest Panamera yet also takes on a more aggressive outward appearance, while the cabin is fitted with sports seats, a SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles and exclusive GTS leather and alcantara finishes.
This GTS uses a modified version of Porsche’s 4.8-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 316kW at 6700, up by 22kW over the version used in the Panamera S and 4S. Peak torque is up, too, from 500 to 520Nm.
STANDARD APPOINTMENTS: Porsche's Sport Chrono pack and active suspension management system are standard on the Panamera GTS.
The Panamera GTS is available to order immediately, while the first cars are expected to arrive in South Africa in March 2012.
