Renault’s Koleos SUV has rolled in for a nip-and-tuck and rolled out with fresher front-end styling and more-efficient diesel engines.

Renault says its primary concerns regarding the revision of its Koleos were the SUV’s body styling, cabin trim and reducing the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of its diesel engines so...

The Koleos’ revised front sees the adoption of a sweeping chromed grille and slimmer headlights and the external mirrors now have LED indicator signals.

NEW TRIM OPTIONS

Fresh alloy rim designs and an orange option for the exterior paintwork are new though the rear styling is largely unchanged.

However, Renault says the interior finishes are worth noting; a number of new upholstery and trim options have been added. Lighting for the dashboard and instrument panel has been updated along with the instrument display.

Beneath the bonnet, the Koleos can – depending on the market – be specified with either a 112 or 130kW version of the company’s uprated M9R diesel engine or the current 126kW 2.5-litre petrol engine.

The revised Koleos will be available in South Africa from early 2012.
